Moreover, directives were issued to enhance accessibility for elderly and disabled voters by constructing ramps and providing wheelchairs at all polling stations. The officials stressed the importance of proper infrastructure including sheds, queue systems, and surveillance measures such as CCTV and videography systems to ensure smooth conduct of elections. Subsequent to the meetings, the officials inspected polling booths and checkpoints to ensure preparedness for the electoral process. At locations including Project Girls High School and attached High School in Potka, and REO office in Khasmahal Kitadih under Jamshedpur Sadar block, the District Election Officer instructed Block Development Officers to strengthen basic facilities at polling stations. Additionally, cleanliness of the premises was emphasized to maintain a conducive environment for voters. During the inspection, the check point on the Hata-Chaibasa road in Potka block was scrutinized to prevent illegal transportation of prohibited items. Magistrates and police forces were directed to conduct thorough checks of vehicles to curb the illicit movement of liquor, money, drugs, or other inducements. Senior officials reviewed the vehicle inspection registers to ensure compliance with regulations, with strict measures outlined for confiscation of objectionable materials. The inspection witnessed the presence of various officials including SOR, ADM, DTO, SDM Dhalbhum, Deputy Election Officer, BDO, CO, SDPO Ghatshila, and police station in-charges, underscoring the collective commitment to conducting free and fair elections in the district.
