In a morning incident on Tuesday, three coaches of a goods train derailed on Line Number 9 at Tatanagar station, leading to a significant disruption in rail operations. The incident has particularly impacted passenger trains heading to Tatanagar. According to an official release from the Railways, the derailment on Line No. 9 has caused disruptions in both the up and down lines at Tatanagar station. As a consequence of the line disruption, several express trains scheduled to arrive at or depart from Tatanagar have been affected. Notable among them are Train No. 12129 Pune Howrah Express, Train No. 12809 Chhatrapati Shivaji Mumbai Terminal-Howrah Express (currently controlled at Adityapur), Train No. 15022 Gorakhpur Shalimar Express, Train No. 12802 New Delhi Puri Purushottam Express, Train No. 13288 Rajendra Nagar Durg South Bihar Express, Train No. 18114 Bilaspur Tata Express, Train No. 28182 Katihar Tata Express, Train No. 18029 Lokmanya Tilak Shalimar Express, Train No. 12859 Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminal Howrah Geetanjali Express, Train No. 12833 Ahmedabad Howrah Express, Train No. 08146 Raulkela-Tata Express, Train No. 12834 Howrah Ahmedabad Express, and Train No. 12262 Howrah Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminal Express. Additionally, in response to the disruption, Train No. 08162 Chakradharpur Tata Express and Train No. 08161 have been canceled.
