Session on "Artificial Intelligence and its impact on Future Health" to be held Jamshedpur, Jan 31: Tata Main Hospital (TMH) is all set to host the 43rd edition of the prestigious All India Steel Medical Officers Conference (AISMOC) from February 1-4, 2024. The conference will take place at TMH and Savak Nanavati Technical Institute (SNTI), Bistupur. Chanakya Chaudhary, Vice President (Corporate Services), Tata Steel, will be the Chief Guest during the inaugural ceremony scheduled on February 3. The conference has been accredited for 11 credit hours by the Jharkhand State Medical Council, informed Dr. Sudhir Rai, GM, Medical Services, Tata Steel. Addressing a press meet at TMH on Wednesday, Dr. Rai said, this years theme, Sustainability in Health care - the way forward reflects Tata Steels commitment to promoting a healthier and more sustainable planet. The 3-day programme includes one-day pre-conference workshop and features various sessions, workshops, panel discussions, and paper presentations. A total of 530 delegates have registered, including 456 Medical Doctors from TMH, Meherbai Tata Memorial Hospital (MTMH) and Manipal Tata Medical College (MTMC) and other Medical Service Divisions of Tata Steel. Around 74 delegates from other Steel Hospitals across country will be participating including Bhilai, Rourkela, Bokaro, Vizag, Burnpur, Durgapur. Bhadrawati etc. The conference will include seven Award Paper Sessions in different categories, covering MBBS Papers, MBBS Posters, Long Papers, Short PG Papers, PG Papers, and more. Noteworthy sessions include two symposiums on Artificial Intelligence and Its Impact on Future Health and Golden Hour - Cardiac Health for Steel Employees. Eminent speakers and panelists include Dr. Anup Rawool, Geneticist from Bangalore; Dr. Sukesh Nair, Professor Head, Hematology Transfusion Medicine, CMC Vellore; and Dr. Sanjay Pandey, Urologist Andrologist, Kokilaben Hospital, Mumbai. The conference will also feature four guest lectures, including one by Dr. P Arun, Director, TMC, Kolkata, addressing Access to cancer care in Eastern India. The Scientific program includes the prestigious Steel Oration by Air Marshal (Dr.) Rajan Chaudhry's presentations, and an exciting Medi Quiz. The commitment of Tata Steel towards a healthier and sustainable planet will be highlighted throughout the event. The conference will also cover various initiatives, including two symposiums, two panel discussions, and five workshops on topics like Robotic Surgery, ECMO, Respiratory Support Management, Bedside Imaging, and ABG Initiatives. Also present at the press meet were Dr Mamta Rath Datta, Dr Vinita Singh and Dr Minakshi Mishra.
