two food stalls to open at adityapur railway station
In a move aimed at enhancing passenger convenience, Adityapur station is set to welcome two new food stalls on platform number one. The Railway Commerce and Engineering Department has conducted a survey of the designated space for these stalls and submitted the report to the Chakradharpur divisional headquarters for further action. The impending completion of the new station building at Adityapur, coupled with the frequent stops of express and local trains, underscores the necessity for improved amenities at the station. Moreover, the congestion at Tatanagar station often leads to extended stops of long-distance trains at Adityapur, amplifying the need for essential services such as food stalls. To address this need, preparations are underway to inaugurate two food stalls on platform number one. Additionally, a tender has been issued for a restaurant on wheels to be stationed outside the station premises. Experts have also outlined plans to establish tea stalls at Kolhan in the Chakradharpur division and 28 smaller rural stations in Odisha. Catering stalls, along with other facilities, are slated for installation at 14 stations under the Amrit Bharat initiative. While a restaurant on wheels exists at Burmamines Gate of Tatanagar station, the absence of food stalls poses challenges for passengers. Tea stalls are expected to be inaugurated at stations including Gamharia, Sini, and Chaibasa in the initial phase of this initiative, aiming to improve passenger experience across the region.
