The Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee (JNAC) has issued a directive requiring all shops in Sairat Bazaar to prominently display a six-digit shop unique ID in front of their establishments. Additionally, toll-free vendors operating in the area have been instructed to obtain and display their unique ID numbers. Failure to comply with this directive within two days will result in legal action against non-compliant parties. Krishna Kumar, the Suburban Commissioner of JNAC, emphasized the importance of this measure, stating that shop operators must submit a self-affidavit to identify themselves. This will aid in investigations and ensure accountability for shop operations. Unauthorized alterations to shops without proper permission will not be tolerated. Sairat Market comprises approximately 7500 shops across 10 markets in the city, all of which are owned by the state government and overseen by the JNAC. The implementation of unique shop IDs aims to enhance monitoring and regulation of activities within the market area.
