The Centre plans to review the restoration of wheat entitlements under the Public Distribution System (PDS) after the procurement drive concludes, encouraged by projections of a record 115 million tonnes of wheat production. As of April 30, 256.31 lakh tonnes of wheat have been procured, a 24.78% increase from last year, benefiting over 21 lakh farmers.
