Reserve Bank of India has approved a dividend of Rs 2.69 lakh crore for fiscal year 2025. This will help the central government reduce its fiscal deficit. The contingency risk buffer has also been increased. This payout is due to higher dollar sales and foreign exchange gains. The dividend transfer will ease pressure on the government's finances.
